Settle now offers robust milestone tracking for your Purchase Orders (POs) and Work Orders (WOs), providing a comprehensive timeline to monitor key events from order creation to fulfillment. This feature enhances visibility into your order lifecycle, facilitates efficient communication with vendors, and helps you proactively identify and address potential delays.
For both POs and WOs, Settle tracks the following key milestone dates:
Issue date: This is the date the document is sent to the vendor. It is automatically captured when the document is sent or can be manually updated upon upload.
Doc acknowledgement date: This is the date the vendor confirms receipt of the document. This date is currently user-inputted.
Production start date:
Contracted date: The agreed-upon date for production to begin.
Actual date: The date production actually began.
Cargo ready date:
Contracted date: The agreed-upon date for the product to be ready for freight pickup.
Actual date: The date items were actually available for freight pickup.
Ship by date:
Contracted date: The date the vendor is expected to ship the goods.
Actual date: The date the goods were shipped.
Receive by date (Arrive by date):
Contracted date: The expected delivery date of the goods.
Actual date: The date the goods were received.
Understanding milestone dates
Each milestone includes two types of dates:
Contracted dates: These are the agreed-upon dates or timelines between you and your vendor.
Actual dates: These represent when the milestone actually occurred. Actual dates cannot be set in the future. "
Settle provides a dedicated 'Timeline View' for both POs and WOs to display all milestone dates in a standardized format.
Dates are grouped by 'Contracted' and 'Actual' for easy comparison.
Visual indicators for delays: The timeline view includes color-coded indicators to help you quickly assess the status of your milestones as on schedule, within 5 days of delay, or delayed by more than 5 days.
Milestone reporting (Table view updates)
The table view for POs and WOs has been updated with new columns to provide quick insights into your order progress:
Current milestone: Displays the latest completed milestone (e.g., 'Cargo Ready,' 'Arrived'). In cases of multiple shipments or conflicting milestones, the most conservative (earliest) update is displayed.
SKU count: The number of distinct items on the document.
Line item count: The total number of items in the PO or WO.
