Create custom roles

Settle enables the creation of Custom Roles with bespoke permission sets.

From Settings > User Roles, users can

  • See the list of all default and Custom Roles created for their company

  • Add new Custom Roles

  • Edit and Delete Custom Roles

Creating New Custom Roles

Users creating a new role must give it a name and select from the desired permission set.

The configurable permissions are as follows:

Name

Access Levels

Settle inbox

No Access / Full

Approval rules

No Access / View / Full

Bills

No Access / View / Full

Payments

No Access / View / Full

Purchase Orders, Work Orders, Inventory Transfers, & GRNs

No Access / View / Full

Link ordering documents and Bills

No Access / Full

Accounting sync

No Access / View / Full

Business details

No Access / Full

Connections

No Access / View / Full

Matching discrepancy thresholds

No Access / Full

Team members

View / Full

Sales channels

No Access / View / Full

Inventory Costing Method

No Access / Full

Please note that by default, users with the Admin role have Full access to manage the Inventory Costing Method setting. For all other roles, this permission can be configured when setting up a custom role.

Assigning users to Custom Roles

In Settings > Team, users can be assigned to any custom or default role.
