If your business is connected to A2X, you can use SKU aliases in Settle to ensure your product data and landed costs are accurately matched across platforms—even when different SKUs are used on various sales channels like Amazon, Shopify, or internal systems.

What are SKU aliases?

A SKU alias is an alternate identifier for the same product. It allows you to consolidate different SKUs under one catalog item in Settle, streamlining your cost tracking and reporting.

Example:

  • Primary SKU: SKU-845

  • Aliases: 34ajgb1, A-Z-100

All three represent the same product, and using aliases ensures Settle and A2X treat them as one item, regardless of where or how the SKU appears.

How SKU aliases work with A2X

When SKU aliases are added to a catalog item in Settle:

  • Settle sends both the primary SKU and all aliases to A2X

  • A2X uses this information to match landed costs and sales transactions across your connected sales channels

  • This results in more accurate cost allocation, reconciliation, and financial reporting

Where to add SKU aliases

To add SKU aliases:

  • Navigate to the Catalog in Settle

  • Open the catalog item you want to update

  • Locate the SKU Alias field (visible only if your A2X integration is active)

  • Add any alternate SKUs that refer to the same product

  • You can add multiple aliases per item as needed
