When you migrate your AP process onto Settle, the best way to migrate your bills is by using our importing tool. This article will walk you through the steps to successfully import your open and historical bills from QuickBooks.

To import open and historical bills from QuickBooks:

  1. Go to Add bill

  2. Select Import from QuickBooks

  3. Click onto the Historical Bills where you will be given the option to select the time frame that you would like to import from.

  4. Once your dates are selected, hit Import

Please note: If a business has the 'Import open Bills and Purchase Orders' toggle on within Accounting integration settings, just the open or "unpaid" bills will be imported. However, this manual import option would allow you to additionally import any or all bills, regardless of their status.

💡 When we sync to QBO, the sum of all of the line items is what’s synced, not the bill’s amount in Settle. If you decide to opt out of fully itemizing the bill, please be sure to at least enter the total amount as a single line item.
