Watch a quick overview of making payments on Settle here.

All vendor payments can be made as an ACH, wire, or paper check. Processing times for payments fluctuate depending on three factorsโ€”when the payment is initiated, whether the payment is a financed or non-financed payment, and where the recipient is located.

When scheduling a payment, youโ€™ll see payment timing estimates (ETAs) listed in multiple locations within Settle as you select payment details.

The recipient of your payment will also receive a payment confirmation PDF with the estimated arrival date listed.

The following charts provide more detail on how ETAs are calculated:

If you are making a payment that is not financed, here is a breakdown of how you can determine the timing of your payment:

These payments are scheduled by pressing the "Pay ASAP" or "Schedule" button on the invoice. Before funds can be sent to your vendor, those funds need to be debited from your bank account first.

If you are using EPT (Extend Payment Terms) to finance a payment, your vendor is paid up front, so the funds don't need to be collected from your bank account first. So, if you select the EPT button, here is a breakdown of how you can determine the timing of your payment:

Please note that there may be some exceptions to the timelines listed above:

  • International currency payments: Exchange to a foreign currency takes one business day to execute, so it's best to always plan ahead. If you are going to have to pay a vendor in any foreign currency, schedule the payment for 1-2 days ahead of when you would like the funds to arrive.

  • Weekends & Bank Holidays: Payments are not processed on weekends or bank holidays. If payments are scheduled for those days, they will begin processing on the next business day.

  • Payments requiring an approval based on a Payment Approval Rule will not be initiated until proper approvals are given, which may delay the payment past the originally scheduled date.

  • Settle and its financial partners may require additional due diligence reviews which can delay payment delivery.
